Universe, is all of time and space and its contents. It includes
planets, stars, galaxies, content of intergalatic space, the smallest subatomic
particles, and all matter and energy. The size of the whole Universe is not
known and may be infinite. Observations and the development of physcial
theories have led to interferences about the composition and evolution of the
Universe.
There are so much theories on the
mode of the birth of the universe. These are the B Bang and the Steady State
theories. ‘Big Bang’ theory state that universe has a finite beginning, through
a tremendous explosive expansion superdense and very condesed matter.
The question is, “How did it
begin?”. There was so much many theories regarding the birth of universe. Islam
,in Holy Quran already stated that the Universe was Allah creation. Then He
turned to the heavens when it was smoke...[Noble Quran 41:11] Because the
earth and the heavens above (the sun, moon, stars, planets, galaxies, etc.)
have been formed from this same 'smoke' we conclude that the earth and the
heavens were one connected entity. Then out of this homogeneous 'smoke', they
formed and separated from each other.
Alone in a darkest night, try to
look up into the sky. You will see many stars. Stars? A star is a luminious
sphere of plasma held together by its own gravity. The nearest star to Earth is
our Sun. By star we can make constellation. Constellation once were used to
navigate way. It is widely used when there was no maps were created. It helps
seafarer to reach their destnation.
As we know, our planet, called Earth
is a planet that took part in “Milky Way”. What is Milky Way. Although sounds
like drink or beverages, actually that is a name for our Galaxy. Earth is a
third planet before Mars. Earth is the only astronomical object known to
accommodate life. The earliest life on Earth arose at lest 3.5 billion years
ago.
As a conclusion, we should
appreciate the beauty of Allah creation. We should take a little time to think,
is there other planet that accommodate life. Is it exist other beings beside
human? Maybe alien?
